 Golem XIV by Stephen Hendee

golem.jpg

Stephen Hendee is a sculptor best known for producing large-scale architecturally ambitious installations. Inspired by a digital culture, he is considered a pioneering figure in the low-poly aesthetic, conveying vectorized properties to physical objects and materials, creating real world simulations of virtual reality space. The constructed works often reference film and literary sources.

His work has been exhibited at PS.1 Contemporary Art Center, the New Museum, Sculpture Center LIC, and the Whitney Museum of American Art at Altria in New York. Other national exhibitions include those at the Smart Museum, Chicago; the St. Louis Art Museum; and Rice University Art Gallery, Houston.

Light Installation by Scott Pennington

Scott Pennington is a Baltimore-based artist specializing in large-scale participatory installation and sculptural assemblage works. Drawing upon his background as a furniture and cabinet-maker, Pennington utilizes woodworking and construction techniques to create colorful, detailed works of art that engage varied audiences and invigorate public spaces. Pennington’s work suggests a tangible, yet illusory reality that examines labor, consumer culture, and the pursuit of simple pleasures, and the construction of nostalgic human connections both genuine and fictitious.

Period Bomb

period-bomb.jpg

Miami’s Period Bomb brims over with sound and fury, and with a purpose.  The group, led by Cam Alvarez, is as much a multimedia project as it is a band that teeters on the edge between post-punk and hardcore. They use every part of whatever medium they’re working in — whether it’s audio recordings, videos or live performance — to critique and tear away at a culture that wants to exert control over your body and dictate your way of thinking. On first listen, the results can be disorienting (in a good way), but once you understand that they’re trying to convey a complete experience, the ideas snap into focus.  " -Nashville Scene

LAzlo Lee and the Motherless Children

the-lazlo.jpg

Lazlo Lee and The Motherless Children are a blues/garage rock-n-roll band out of Baltimore City. Lazlo, with his howling vox and guitar, front this two-piece band that was named after the old blues traditional 'Motherless Children'. With the fast, heavy hitting Cocaine Jim on the drums, this act thrives on their energetic live performance with catchy riffs and the ability to turn on any crowd.
Lazlo and The Motherless have had the privilege to share the stage with such acts like The Dex Romweber Duo, The Dirtbombs, Biters, Hot Snakes, The Flying Eyes, Dirty Fences and Paint Fumes, among other great acts.

 James Nasty

bone-busters-james-nasty.jpg

Self-described in an interview with the UK’s FACT Magazine as making exciting music that feels like “thug motivation meets club drugs that make you dance all night thrown into a blender with some whey protein and steroids,” Baltimore, Maryland resident James Nasty excels at producing and DJing Baltimore club music. Nasty is locally iconic and globally respected. Voted the “Best DJ In a Club” in the Baltimore City Paper, he’s regularly discussed in The Baltimore Sun, favored by club music OG Scottie B and is in heavy rotation during legends KW Griff and Pork Chop’s club mixes on Baltimore radio station 92Q. Globally, he's spun for Boiler Room, international tastemaker A-Trak himself has dropped cuts from his recent T & A (Tittsworth and DJ Ayres) Records-released Calvert Street EP in his live sets and he's gained support from the likes of GTA, Sirius XM Shade 45’s DJ Wonder, Dave Nada, Roxy Cottontail and a plethora more.
